• Happy International World Women’s Women’s Day.  Women are role definition of any development throughout the world. We wish to celebrate this event with Kelundu Community Forest Management Group as they roll a campaign on ” Every home for a safe cooking stove.” This initiative is being rolled out to ensure women have a safe cooking place. A kitchen that is energy efficiency and pollution  smoke free. In order to achieve the 2030 sustainable development goals, healthy  women are robust to this vision as they are caretakers of majority family.  They are the source of cooking and heating energy for families as they walk long distances and carrying a heavy load of fire wood or biomass. These core values have exposed them to health hazards like inhaling harmful smoke and frequent heavy loads of firewood resulting into shortened life expectancy especially among the pregnant women.
